A beloved fast-casual restaurant will soon return to offering healthier options to Arlington residents on the move. Mezeh Mediterranean Grill is mounting a Crystal City comeback in spring of 2024, according to the company’s website.
The restaurant, originally located at 2450 Crystal Drive, shut down earlier this year. Mezeh’s website now lists the location as 2461 South Clark Street, which is a quick, two minute drive from the eatery’s original home. The storefront is currently undergoing construction but Mezeh assures customers they will be able to enjoy fast-casual Mediterranean dining in April of 2024.
Mezeh applies the increasingly popular assembly-line style of meal preparation to Mediterranean cuisine. The restaurant encourages customers to curate their own, made-to-order meals. Guests choose between bowls, wraps, and pita pockets. They then choose the greens, proteins, toppings, and sauces that make up their ideal dish.
Mezeh opened its first restaurant in 2012 and has since grown to include more than 50 east coast locations. While the Compass Creek location will be Loudoun County’s first Mezeh, the chain has several restaurants across Virginia and DC.
