The team behind the Midlands Beer Garden are back with a brand new concept. The hospitality innovators are turning their attention to The Parks at Walter Reed, where they are developing a new, and as-of-yet-unnamed project, reports local media outlet PoPville.

Restaurateurs Josh Saltzman, Chris Powers, Trent Allen, and Robin Webb have big plans for revitalizing the space at 6810 Cameron Drive, NW. According to a press release provided to What Now DC, the completed project will center around a casual restaurant, featuring a 6,000 square foot patio. The concept’s plans will include the rejuvenation of a historic mechanic shop and connected plaza space.

Co-founder Trent Allen expresses the team’s enthusiasm for the project, stating: “We’re excited to create a beautiful space for the Walter Reed and broader DC community to enjoy. As a Ward 4 resident, having the opportunity to revitalize a historic space in our own backyard is a dream come true.”

The team intends to roll out the project in two phases; the first, featuring a rotating selection of food trucks and outdoor events, will launch this summer. The project will reveal its full scope when the second phase launches in spring of 2025, culminating in the opening of the full space, including the completed restaurant and a full-service bar.
