The stars have aligned into a slightly modified timeline for two of the DMV’s most hotly anticipated new dining destinations. Episcope Hospitality initially planned to open Altitude Wine Bar and Constellation Cafe & Market in January but are now projecting a springtime debut, reports local media outlet ARLNow.

The two concepts are being developed as part of an intense renovation of 2011 Crystal Drive. Altitude-described as a “listening room and wine bar”-is taking much of its aesthetic inspiration from the early days of air travel. The establishment will have an on-site sommelier to provide visitors with wine guidance and knowledge, ensuring vino fans of all levels will feel welcome.

While Altitude is spinning records and pouring glasses, Constellation will put a strong emphasis on dining. The cafe will, of course, serve coffee but will also feature a menu with what are described as “heartier plates”, making sure that no guest leaves unsatisfied.

These two new additions will surely be embraced by Crystal City and-just as importantly-will prove worth the wait. Fortunately, locals will only need to exercise a little more patience. Episcope Hospitality is optimistic that Constellation and Altitude will be opening this spring.
