Alexandria is getting a fresh sip of delicious artisanal coffee. For Five Coffee is opening a new location in the upcoming 425 Montgomery mixed-use building, and it is bringing all of the java drinks and bakery treats fans have come to know and love.

For Five Coffee is opening its fourth Virginia cafe at 425 Montgomery Street in Old Town Alexandria. The concept will occupy a 3,443 square foot space. Locals can rest assured that For Five Coffee will be around for quite some time; the chain has signed a 10-year lease for the location.

For Five Coffee CEO & Co-Founder Stefanos Vouvoudakis explains that this new storefront opening is a full-circle moment for the chain, saying: “When we opened our first DMV For Five café in Alexandria with Carr Properties in 2018, we knew we were launching something extraordinary. Now, with 12 cafés across the DC/Virginia region, we’re thrilled to deepen our roots and continue growing within the Alexandria community–while bringing a more elevated, luxury café experience to this side of the city in a way we’ve never done before.”

An opening date is not yet available for For Five Coffee’s new Alexandria location, however construction is projected to finish on the 425 Montgomery building in late 2026, suggesting the cafe will open late this year or early next.
