A mischievous Bristow brewery is getting ready to treat more DMV residents to an effervescent dining experience. Ornery Beer Company has set its sights on a new location in Herndon, reports local media outlet The Burn.

The brewpub’s new Woodland Park Crossing location will be Ornery’s second attempt to break into the local market; the company previously planned to open a spot in the Arrowbrook Centre, but abandoned that endeavor in early 2024.

Ornery’s new home in the 12960 Highland Crossing Drive retail center will afford the concept 4,500 square feet of space to accommodate guests. Herndon beer enthusiasts shouldn’t sip their brews before they’re poured, however. Ornery is still in the preliminary phases, suggesting it might be quite some time before the taproom and restaurant opens its doors.

Ornery Beer Company currently has two locations, both in Virginia. The Bristow location is only a taproom, however a Fairfax City brewpub offers a more likely model for the Herndon location. The location is a full service restaurant, which the new storefront will also be. If the Fairfax menu is any indicator, Herndon diners are in for elevated pub fare, with an emphasis on pizzas, sharables, and sandwiches.
