The mind behind Nha Trang restaurant is bringing a fresh taste of Vietnam to Alexandria. Sandy Truong has filed paperwork to open Saigon Rolls in the Old Town neighborhood, reports local media outlet ALXNow.

Truong has filed a special use permit to transform the space at 606 King Street from Pho Nam, which occupied the building since 2020, into her latest concept. The paperwork filed with the city of Alexandria shows that Saigon Rolls will maintain very similar operations to those employed by Pho Nam; the basic internal workings, including hours of operation and visitor capacity will remain unchanged.

The transition from Pho Nam to Saigon Rolls will transcend simple nomenclature, however. Truong states “The menu is going to change a little bit,” and encourages locals to: “Come and support our new business.”

A precise date for the turnover has not yet been announced, however the public will be able to comment on the permit until January 29. Additionally, the eatery passed an inspection from the Alexandria Health Department on January 8, 2025, suggesting the changeover may happen in early to mid-February.
