Health-conscious diners are currently enjoying a golden age of fast-casual cuisine with nutrition firmly on its mind. Florida import Pura Vida Miami is the latest concept to bring its guilt-free but delicious meals to the DMV, launching a location in Fairfax reports local media outlet The Burn.

The chain will be making its DC-Metro area debut at 8296 Glass Alley, in the space that previously housed the Parc de Ville restaurant. Though the building will remain a restaurant, the cuisine will be making a dramatic shift from French dishes to acai bowls, smoothies, and all day breakfast.

No word yet on when Mosaic District foodies can sink their teeth into Pura Vida Miami’s fare, but it likely won’t be for quite a bit. Planning is still underway for the construction necessary to transition the space from French to fresh, so it seems unlikely that the restaurant will open before 2026.

Pura Vida Miami aims to craft the freshest and healthiest cuisine possible through sustainably grown produce that is prepped in-house. The concept has made a big impression on the fast-casual dining scene since its inception in 2012. The website explains why, stating “By championing the use of premium whole ingredients as the standard of our values, we are able to consistently offer our guests an exceptional dining experience, promoting a truly attainable and conscious approach to food, that is part of our everyday healthy lifestyle.”
