Virginia Beach is closing out the year with a taste of one of the hottest chicken restaurants on the scene. Raising Cane’s is opening a new location in the neighborhood by the end of 2025, reports local media outlet 13 News Now.
The poultry giant has signed a lease for a building at 675 Lynnhaven Parkway. The 6,512 square foot space formerly housed a Wells Fargo bank and will need some renovating before enjoying its next act as a fast-casual eatery. Raising Cane’s will be employing a plan that puts a continued emphasis on drive-thru business, a model the chain is increasingly invested in.
A precise opening timeline is not currently available, however construction is slated to begin on the location in the next few months. The company anticipates holding the grand opening for the Virginia Beach storefront in late 2025.
While Raising Cane’s served its first chicken tender in Baton Rouge in 1996, it’s been particularly active over the past few years. The chain has been in massive expansion mode, quickly becoming the name to beat in the fast-casual chicken market.
The restaurant’s menu is the key to its success. Cane’s offers a pared down selection; guests can choose between made-to-order chicken tenders or sandwiches, with sides including Texas Toast, crinkle cut fries, and coleslaw.
