A local franchisee is preparing to serve up a second helping of a healthy but delicious chain. Rush Bowls, known for making fast-casual dining a bit more nutritious without sacrificing any flavor, is opening a new store in Ashburn, reports local media outlet The Burn.

The Allday family, who also runs Loudoun’s other Rush Bowls store, has signed a lease for a storefront in the Ashbrook Commons shopping center. The eatery will have 1,200 square feet to greet and serve guests at 20070 Ashbrook Commons Plaza. The Alldays are hoping to open the new location before the end of this year or in January.

Rush Bowls first began delighting diners in 2004 in Colorado. As the company’s website states, the concept specializes in “offering meals crafted from the finest fruit, topped with granola & honey, and blended with protein, vitamins and other nutritious ingredients that taste delicious while promoting a healthy lifestyle.”

Rush Bowls’ future regulars can look forward to enjoying a wide-range of the increasingly popular acai bowl, as well as smoothies, banana bread bites, and even treats for their canine friends.
