A burgeoning new pasta concept is preparing to bring McLean shoppers the carbo burst they need to shop till they drop. Scolapasta, which aims to be “the Chipotle of Italian food”, is moving into Tysons Galleria later this year, reports local media outlet FFX Now.

It is not yet established where precisely the concept will be located inside 2001 International Drive. While a precise opening date is not currently available, Scolapasta is aiming to open its Tysons location before the end of 2024.

Scolapasta is a new addition to the Virginia restaurant scene. The concept will also be opening a location in Arlington later this year.

Owner Burak Temel previously described the unique concept to ARL Now, stating ““It’s kind of a no brainer, when you think about it. Pasta is healthy. It’s budget friendly, and it could be a great late night food alternative to pizza for example, or some of the other local places in D.C., like Surfside.”
