City Ridge is preparing to welcome an exciting newcomer to its dining scene. Shinwa Izakaya, a brand new Japanese concept, is coming to the region, according to paperwork filed with the Alcoholic Beverage and Cannabis Administration.

The eatery will be opening at 11 Ridge Square, NW, in a space that can accommodate up to 140 guests. The interior dining room will be able to seat up to 100 customers, while an outdoor summer garden will have room for up to 40 patrons. Shinwa Izakaya will be open from 11 am to 11 pm, Sunday through Saturday.

There is not currently a great deal of information available about the restaurant. What Now DC has reached out to Shinwa Izakaya for further details but has not yet heard back from management.

While an opening timeline is not currently available, signage is hanging in the building’s windows and assures future regulars that the restaurant is “coming soon”.
