Nothing eases the pre-flight jitters quite like a cool beer and a good meal. A DMV-favorite tavern is doing its part to calm the nerves of flyers passing through one of the DC metro area’s top transit hubs. Social House, a classic American pub concept, is opening an outpost in the Dulles International Airport, reports the Washington Business Journal.

The restaurant will be moving into and renovating an existing storefront at 1 Saarinen Cir, though it has not been established precisely which one. An opening date remains similarly elusive; the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority states a timeline is impossible to predict.

Locals eager to sample Social House’s menu (or those with no intentions of planning a trip anytime soon) can check out the eatery’s fare at one of the two locations it currently has open and in operation. The tavern is currently set up and ready to serve guests in Ashburn and South Riding.

Social House has earned a fan-following through its selection of local beers, served on tap. The website offers this glimpse into the “eclectic” cuisine: “Our culinary journey is a fusion of flavors, embracing diverse tastes and quality ingredients for a dining experience that resonates with warmth and satisfaction.”
