2024 is not yet over, but a popular DMV chain already has plans for making its mark in 2025. South Block, a concept that puts a healthy twist on fast-casual dining, will be opening a new Virginia restaurant early next year.

A press release provided to What Now DC states that the eatery-South Block’s fourth in Fairfax County-will occupy 1,401 square feet in the Old Keene Mill Shopping Center, located at 8424 Old Keene Mill Road.

South Block has had a busy 2024; the chain will close the year with four new restaurants under its belt. The Old Keene Mill location will be a homecoming of sorts for founder and CEO Amir Mostafavi. The entrepreneur states: “We are thrilled to continue our expansion in the DMV. This is my family’s hometown, and we’re honored to have South Block join this terrific community we love. We can’t wait to join the exciting, innovative new businesses at Old Keene Mill that will be our neighbors ‘on the Block!”
