One of the DMV’s hottest chains is getting ready to show NoVa foodies that fast-casual cuisine doesn’t have to sacrifice great taste to be a healthy choice. South Block is bringing its bowls and smoothies to a fresh new location, this time in Reston, reports local media outlet The Burn.

The eatery will ensure locals don’t suffer a large gap in nutritious food served at a speedy clip. South Block will be taking over the space at 1835 Fountain Drive that presently houses Robek’s Fresh Juices & Smoothies.

It is currently impossible to project an opening timeline for South Block’s new Reston Town Center home; Robek’s is still open in the 1,100 square foot storefront, with no word yet on when it will close. After the incumbent concept shutters, South Block ownership will need to flip the space to make it ready for its new tenant.

South Block has been delighting DMV diners since it entered the scene in 2011. The menu, crafted from fresh and whole ingredients, boasts a wide enough variety to ensure visitors never tire of their options. Guests can choose from acai bowls, smoothie bowls, smoothies, and toast.

The chain currently has 19 locations open, bolstered by its admirable efforts to make its local communities better through food. The website explains: ”At South Block, we celebrate the awesomeness in everyone and the incredible good we can achieve as a community. Whether it’s through kind words, a delicious smoothie, a tasty açaí bowl, or supporting local causes, we strive to remind you of one simple truth: You’re awesome, and YOU ROCK!”
