The nation’s top coffee chain is bringing java on the go to Dumfries residents. A drive-thru Starbucks has received county approval, reports local media outlet Inside NOVA.

The cafe will be taking over the space at 17050 Richmond Highway last occupied by Ruby Tuesday. The restaurant is set for demolition, after which the Starbucks will be erected. The project is still in the early stages.

The Dumfries Starbucks will be a little different from the standard model. The shop will be a Military Family Store, which the Starbucks websites describes, stating: “These stores are gathering spaces where members of the military community connect with one another, especially during deployments.”

Residents may have to wait awhile before enjoying the scent of freshly brewed coffee; according to the stipulations of the special use permit the applicant has up to a year after approval to submit a plan, and five years after that to open the business.
