A pair of native Italian restaurateurs are bringing a taste of their home to Arlington later this year. Chef Matteo Venini and Antonio Matarazzo will be opening a new location of their popular concept, Stellina Pizzeria, in the Upside on Moore food hall, reports local media outlet ARL Now.
The restaurant, which focuses on interpretations of Southern-Italian cuisine, will be opening at 1700 North Moore Street in mid-March. Stellina will be joining several other eateries, including Ghostburger, La Michoacana, and Lucky Danger, in the revamped food hall.
Stellina burst onto the DC Italian food scene in 2019, drawing fans with its signature takes on regional street foods. The eatery sets itself apart from the crowded pizza market with its signature Neo-Neapolitan pies. Visitors looking for an alternative to pizza can enjoy Stellina’s paninis, pastas, or salads.
The Rosslyn restaurant will be Stellina’s fourth location. The pizzeria currently has storefronts at Union Market and Mount Vernon in DC, and a shop in Shirlington, Virginia.
