Taco Lovers, Rejoice-New Taqueria Xochi Location Coming this Summer

The popular concept will be opening its fourth location in the Navy Yard.

This summer the Navy Yard’s hottest ticket comes with a side of salsa. Beloved DMV concept Taqueria Xochi, is bringing the heat to the neighborhood, reports local media outlet PoPville.

The restaurant will be opening its fourth location at 300 Tingey Street, SE. Taqueria Xochi will have a dedicated 2,522 square feet to greet and serve customers. According to paperwork filed with the Alcoholic Beverage and Cannabis Administration, the eatery will have space to accommodate up to 50 customers inside. The restaurant, with a projected summer opening, should be up and running just in time for guests to take advantage of the outdoor summer garden, which will have seating for up to 47 patrons.

Documentation further states that Taqueria Xochi will be open from  10 am to 12 am, Sunday through Thursday and from 10 am to 1 am on Fridays and Saturdays.

Taqueria Xochi currently has locations open on U Street and in the Square Food Hall in DC, and one in Crystal City in Arlington, Virginia. 

Founded by Teresa Padilla and Geraldine Mendoza in 2020, Taqueria Xochi strives for a simple but worthwhile goal, as the website states-“to share the authentic flavors and warmth of Mexican home-style and street foods with our community.”
