The fast-casual dining market is constantly growing and expanding, both in terms of geography and cuisine. An up-and-coming chain is courting both of these sorts of growth; Taim Mediterranean is helping the market grow by bringing Mediterranean food-an underserved niche for certain-to diners, and it is growing its own footprint by pursuing new locations in Maryland and D.C., reports the Baltimore Business Journal.

Taim has not yet named which specific Maryland neighborhoods it is considering pursuing, however the brand currently has no presence whatsoever in the Old Line State. While the restaurant is likewise reticent to reveal any regions of DC it’s considering, District customers are already familiar with the eatery’s fare; Taim has a location up and running in Dupont Circle.

The company, owned by Craveworthy Brands, is actively seeking franchisees. Craveworthy’s 2024 acquisition of Taim truly marked a turning point for the chain, launching a more aggressive expansion strategy. Craveworthy CEO and founder Gregg Majewski explains that the opportunity to spread Taim’s fare to new corners was too good to pass up, saying : “”We knew we had this diamond that needed to expand”

There is not currently a clear timeline for new DMV openings, however Craveworthy intends to begin opening between 20 to 30 locations annually in 2026.

Taim uses fresh ingredients to craft authentic Mediterranean fare. Dishes are highly customizable, allowing customers to pick and choose the desired components for their perfect meal.
