A popular Florida-based Mexican chain is giving the DMV exciting news (and cuisine) to talk about. Talkin’ Tacos has expansion on the mind, and has set its sights on the Alexandria’s Oakville Triangle as a new home for its delicious fast-casual fare, reports Washington Business Journal.
The concept will be setting up shop in a 2,500 square foot storefront on Oakville Row, though the precise address is not yet publicly available. Talkin’ Tacos signed the lease very recently and an opening timeline is not presently established. What Now DC will update readers as further details come to light.
Talkin’ Tacos will be joining Waraku, a Japanese eatery, and ramen concept Mensho in Oakville Triangle. The trio are strong draws, certain to pull in plenty of hungry locals.
Talkin’ Tacos is one of the silver linings of the COVID-19 pandemic. The concept was launched as a food truck in Florida in 2020 by Omar Al-Massalkhi and Mohammad Farraj. The eatery has since become a hit thanks to its expansive menu, described on the website as: “We are known for Mexican Food, Pico De Gallo and Chips, Birria Tacos, Birria, Taco, Churros, Soup, Birria Ramen, Taco Salad, Shrimp, Birria Burritos, Chicken Burrito, Birria Grilled Cheese, Carne Asada Tacos, Guacamole, Quesabirria, Nachos, Burritos, Tres Leches Cake, Birria Pizza, Vegetarian Food, Quesadilla, Rice Bowl, Refried Beans, and Carne Asada”
