A bakery with an impressive presence in the DMV-area is preparing to plant yet another flag in the District this year. Tatte Bakery & Cafe is opening a new location in Georgetown, reports local media outlet PoPville.

The popular eatery is moving into the space which formerly housed Capitol One bank, located at 1545 Wisconsin Avenue, NW. Tatte has filed plans showing that it intends to convert the parking lot into an outdoor dining area, according to The Georgetown Metropolitan.

A precise opening date is not currently available for the expanding bakery’s Georgetown debut, however signage has been hung at the building and construction appears to be underway. It is likely locals can look forward to enjoying Tatte’s unique menu, featuring tartines, quiches, soups, shakshuka, salads, and sandwiches, before the year is out.

Tatte has made a strong impression in the DMV region. The chain currently has twelve locations in the area.
