The coffee shop has become a beacon of community and companionship for many remote workers. A hot cup of joe paired with a delicious bagel or pastry makes any project go down a little easier. Three Whistles, a cafe that has already charmed Arlington residents through its superior java and coworking space, appears to be making its way to the District, according to paperwork filed with the Alcoholic Beverage and Cannabis Administration.
The submitted forms show that Three Whistles is planning to move into 5832 Georgia Avenue, N.W., #C1. The cafe will have space to seat 89 and to accommodate up to 99 patrons overall. Three Whistles promises to be an exciting cultural gathering place for DC-the license shows that the cafe has requested an entertainment endorsement to provide live entertainment.
Three Whistles cited hours of operation will be 7:30 am to 2 am, Sunday through Thursday and 7:30 am to 3 am on Friday and Saturday.
Three Whistles takes its beats from European cafes. The website describes what’s in store for DC, saying: “Three Whistles is an updated all-day coffeehouse concept for the modern ways we live, work and gather. Three Whistles combines the coziness, convenience, and F&B of a neighborhood café with the productivity, community and tools of a workspace.”
