One Loudoun diners will soon be able to enjoy a scoop of some of the best vanilla ice cream on the scene. Beloved national brand Van Leeuwen is bringing its delicious and distinctive flavors to the ever-expanding development, reports local media outlet The Burn.

The New York based creamery will be part of the next developmental phase of the mixed-use compound located at 20626 Easthampton Plaza. Ashburn residents will still have to wait a bit before indulging in Van Leeuwen’s sweet treats; while construction fencing is erected, the ground-breaking for One Loudoun’s newest additions is scheduled for October 22.

Van Leeuwen first started churning its celebrated ice cream in New York in 2008. The chain has expanded to include more than 50 locations across seven states, with nearly 10,000 grocery stores carrying and selling pints of its signature treat.
Van Leeuwen’s high-quality ice cream comes in a wide variety of flavors, ranging from old favorites like cookies and cream and vanilla bean to more innovative creations including buttermilk berry cornbread and malted cookie dough shake. The brand’s interpretation of classic vanilla ice cream sets a gold standard; Wirecutter voted it the best.
