A popular DMV chain is preparing to grab a slice of the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport pie. Wiseguy Pizza, one of the top concepts from Thompson Hospitality Group, is opening a location in the transportation mecca, reports the Washington Business Journal.
The pizzeria will be setting up in concourse C of 2401 Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport Access Road. While hungry travelers enthusiastic for a hot slice on the run may already feel their mouths watering, they may still have a bit of a wait in store. An MWAA representative tells ARLNow that “construction timelines are very fluid”.
Wiseguy has been flipping fresh and delicious pizzas for DMV diners since its inception in 2012 in Washington DC. The chain now has 7 locations-6 in the DMV region and 1 in Florida. The brand offers customers a distinctive and memorable pizza experience, described as “We prefer an old world, authentic pie. This means we’re cooking our pizza in old-school, deck ovens at a minimum at 550 degrees. The dough sits directly on the stone – there are no pizza screens used in our kitchens! The result is a crust with a bread-like, chewy texture. Perfectly puffy. The dough is stretched thin enough to be golden and crispy, but never so thin it turns into a cracker texture.“
