A DC burger joint with an impressive national reputation is moving towards opening a new District location. Z-Burger is opening a storefront in the Northeast Trinidad neighborhood, reports local media outlet Wtopnews.

The popular eatery, helmed by founder Peter Tabibian, will be feeding hungry guests at 1239 Mt Olivet Road, NE. Z-Burger is taking over the space vacated by Tex’s, and signage is up, indicating that visitors may soon be able to sink their teeth into one of the local chain’s beloved burgers. An opening date is not, however, currently available.

Z-Burger is currently riding a wave of good press and well-earned acclaim. The concept landed at number 4 on the USA Today’s Readers’ Choice Awards list of the best regional fast food restaurants.

Founded in 2008, Z-Burger serves all of the fast-casual favorites diners have come to know and love. In addition to the titular burgers, the restaurant serves chicken sandwiches, cheesesteaks, kosher hotdogs, and black bean burgers.
