Game Show Battle Rooms — a concept similar to the ever-so-popular Escape The Room, in which parties are granted their own personal game show experience, complete with a lively host, teams, and prizes — bills itself as a family-friendly party experience perfect for every kind of social event, from kids’ birthday parties, to corporate morale nights, to bachelorette parties.

The games themselves are reminiscent of America’s favorite TV game shows: “Spin and Solve” asks players to spin a wheel and solve a phrase a la Wheel of Fortune, while “Survey Battles” challenges teams to guess top survey answers in a battle-of-lists similar to Family Feud. No matter which games they choose, parties are offered one hour to compete against each other, guided by an enthusiastic host amidst flashing lights, sounding alarms, and chiming bells.

With locations in Milwaukee, Minneapolis, and Kansas City, Game Show Battle Rooms is looking to expand, and it looks like they’ll soon be bringing America’s favorite TV game shows to Tempe. The business has filed for permits at 422 South Madison Drive, near Highway 143 and across the river from the airport. Owner John Dockendorf did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

We don’t know when Game Show Battle Rooms will open its newest location, but for all those game show enthusiasts who simply can’t wait, the business is also offering virtual experiences throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. You can purchase tickets now at their website.
