The Capital Grille is preparing to open at SanTan Crossing in Gilbert, according to East Valley Now. The company plans a 9,134-square-foot freestanding restaurant at the southeast corner of SanTan Village Parkway and Williams Field Road. An opening date has not been announced.

The brand already operates in Arizona at 2502 E. Camelback Road in Phoenix and 16489 N. Scottsdale Road in Scottsdale.

The Capital Grille began in Providence, Rhode Island, in 1990. Its restaurants dry-age steaks on-site for 18 to 24 days, then have in-house butchers cut them for service.

The menu includes steaks, seafood, burgers, sandwiches, salads, and desserts, along with wine and cocktails.

The Capital Grille is part of Darden Restaurants, which also owns Yard House, another restaurant planned for SanTan Crossing. As What Now Phoenix previously reported, Yard House is preparing its first Gilbert location at the development.

What Now Phoenix reached out to The Capital Grille, and this article may be updated as more information becomes available. Follow the restaurant on Instagram for opening updates on the SanTan Crossing location.
