Rainy Days Tavern is set to open soon in the Brooklyn area, located at 4774 SE Milwaukie Avenue, confirmed by one of its owners and operating manager, Josiah Francis.

“Rainy Days is going to be a locally owned and operated bar, with a simple yet elevated concept across the board,” Francis told What Now Portland, “We’re hoping to open sometime in the middle or end of September this year.”

With the time granted from permit processing, the menu is finely curated on an ongoing basis. The aesthetics of the tavern are centered around a cozy, neighborhood bar feel, with natural woods and elevated aesthetic features.

Rainy Days Tavern is the brainchild of three people—Nick Brown, David Bertelo, and Josiah, who collectively bring their expertise and passion to the bar industry. Rainy Day promises a simple yet exceptional concept that combines craft cocktails, a curated beer selection, and mouthwatering in-house flatbreads. Rainy Days Tavern represents their latest endeavor, with Nick and David owning Haymaker Bar.

Nick and David’s experience with Haymaker began in November 2017 aiming to establish a neighborhood bar that was not only affordable but also had a special focus on bourbon. The cozy space became a go-to destination for bourbon enthusiasts and cocktail lovers alike, offering an impressive selection despite its compact size, according to Haymaker’s website.
