Mesquite Fresh Street Mex, the eatery with seven Valley locations that was founded in 2015 by brothers Naser and Ahmad Alatrash, has expansion plans on the brain. Not only will Mesquite soon open its eighth location in North Phoenix, The Active Tenant shared just yesterday a notice indicating Mesquite is seeking additional sites in the Valley.

According to The Active Tenant, Mesquite is currently seeking Valley-wide sites with a drive-thru, patio space, and/or around 25,000 square feet of space to work with.

The Mesquite experience means food cooked over open flames on “real mesquite wood for a true ‘street’ flavor and authentic Mexican experience.” The eatery first got its start in Scottsdale. According to Mesquite’s website, the goal of redefining street food is in part met by the custom built mesquite grill. The website elaborates: “Using real Mesquite wood chips gives our fresh meat a unique and smoky flavor that you can smell from down the street. It’s mesmerizing to see it in person.”

Not only is the preparation something to write home about, at Mesquite your order is customizable, with the choice of style, filling, and extras. We were unable to reach the owners at the time of publication, so you’ll want to follow the eatery’s social media for updates.
