California cult-favorite Mendocino Farms, the fast-casual restaurant known for “turning sandwiches, salads and more into a feel-good flavor adventure,” will be opening a brand new location later this month at 300 Mission Street.

Mendocino Farms was founded back in 2005 by husband-and-wife team Mario Del Pero and Ellen Chen, starting out in Bunker Hill, LA. They quickly gained popularity for their signature twists on classic sandwiches and salads like the Avocado and Quinoa Superfood Ensalada, made with chopped romaine, curly kale, quinoa and millet, house-made superfood krunchies, succotash with roasted corn, black beans and jicama, red onions, cilantro, cotija cheese, grape tomatoes, and avocado topped with chipotle vinaigrette.

Since then, the success of Mendocino farms has skyrocketed. The family-owned restaurant already has already opened 37 locations across California and Texas, and the new Mission Street location represents their second foray into the Bay Area. They opened up their first Bay Area location in 2018 at 465 California Street.

According to Mendocino Farms CEO Kevin Miles, San Francisco “has earned a name for itself for world-class eateries, a community-minded culture and an adventurous spirit.” It is precisely that spirit of adventure that Mendocino Farms is hoping to capture with its new location.

The Mission Street store is currently planning for its Grand Opening on August 24th. To celebrate the occasion, Mendocino Farms is offering a free salad or sandwich to locals who sign up online for an account, and the offer will be good for the first two weeks of opening.
