The team at Unapologetic Foods is gearing up to open a brand new restaurant – and no, of course they’re not sorry about it.

Kebabwala is a brand new concept from the mind of Roni Mazumdar, CEO of Unapologetic Foods and founder of NYC restaurants like Rowdy Rooster, Masalawala, Dhamaka, Adda Indian Canteen, and Rahi. Partnering up again with Chef Chintan Pandya, Roni and his team will be bringing fire-grilled kebabs right to 82 Second Avenue.

The new restaurant will offer a plethora of different kebabs to choose from (with plenty of vegetarian and alternative options for customers with a restricted diet). Running the gamut from a paneer tikka kebab to the classic chicken and lamb kebabs, Kebabwala will also serve homemade samosas, roti, and kulfi. For beverages, Kebabwala will offer a standard beer and wine selection alongside soft drinks like soda and their specialty mango lassi.

Kebabwala will be styled as a fast-casual restaurant, with the majority of food being served to-go. The restaurant will only be able to sit five or six people at one time, but thankfully kebabs are quick and built for mobile eating.

The new restaurant will be replacing Tenzen, a Japanese restaurant that briefly operated at the location. Roni and his team are hoping to open as soon as they can, listing “Fall 2021” as the opening date on their website. For further updates, be sure to follow their Instagram as they prepare to launch and announce their Grand Opening.
