What started as a pandemic pop-up selling custom charcuterie boards will become a fast-casual restaurant when Crafted Nibbles opens for business at 4631 Perkins Rd. in Baton Rouge. Since launching the company in early 2021, mother-daughter owners Michelle and Valencia Anderson have catered weddings, corporate events and LSU tailgate parties. The new restaurant will have a build-your-own charcuterie, cheese, and accouterments bar that will include gluten-free, organic, vegan and kosher options. A covered outdoor patio will have seating at bistro tables. An opening date is set for December.

According to an Instagram post, Crafted Nibbles was inspired by a trip to South Carolina and a charcuterie board that opened Valencia’s eyes to all kinds of different cheeses. Returning to Baton Rouge inspired, the owners started developing their products, and the feedback they got on everything from the presentation to the flavors inspired them to keep going and growing.
