HMSHost to Open Two Wendy’s Locations in Sacramento International Airport

Recently awarded a 15-year contract by the Sacramento County Department of Airports, HMSHost will also open two Wendy's location in the terminals.

In a recent press release announcing a 15-year contract awarded to HMSHost to bring new dining options to Sacramento International Airport (SMF), HMSHost mentioned that it would also be operating two Wendy’s locations, one in each terminal.

The Terminal A Wendy’s will replace the former Squeeze Burger and is anticipated to open between June and August 2024. The Terminal B Wendy’s will occupy the former Peet’s Coffee and Tea space and is slated to open between October 2024 and March 2025.

“We are excited and honored that Sacramento County Department of Airports and the Board of Supervisors have chosen to expand their partnership with HMSHost. It has been a wonderful opportunity to share our vision for enhancing the experience for millions of travelers at Sacramento International Airport, and we are especially pleased to collaborate with so many local businesses to introduce their phenomenal food and products to the airport,” said Steve Johnson, President and CEO, North America, Avolta, HMSHost’s parent company.

In addition to Wendy’s, HMSHost will also operate a handful of local dining concepts as licensed locations and three Starbucks located in the two terminals.
