CORRECTION: Tiger Suger in Cherry Hill will have seating for about 15, not 50. The total occupancy for the space is 40 to 50. There is also only one Edison location listed at 1913 Route 27.
Tiger Sugar, a brown sugar bubble tea chain, will open a location in Cherry Hill at the beginning of 2022 with more locations planned over the next year. Franchisee Eric Yeung says the 1,600 sq. ft. shop at 404 Marlton Pike East will seat about 15 and open in January. The Cherry Hill location is Tiger Sugar’s second New Jersey location. The first is in Little Ferry. There are also two Philadelphia locations in Chinatown and Olney.
Yeung has a third New Jersey location planned for Edison, NJ that will open in April at 1913 Route 27, with additional locations currently in leasing negotiations.
Tiger Sugar is known for its original brown sugar bubble tea, also known as boba tea and pearl milk tea, made with fresh cream to create a tiger-stripe look. The brand launched in Taichung, Taiwan in 2017 and has grown internationally.
“Many companies have tried to replicate our drinks, but our tried and proven methods stand the test of time. We use a proprietary 8-hour method for cooking our syrups and tapioca pearls. This results in the perfect marriage of tea, milk, and syrup in every sip. Our brand is bold, and our unforgettable drink varieties are a testament to this,” their website reads.
In addition to their signature Brown Sugar Boba Milk + Pearl with Cream Mousse that comes with add-ons like Tiger Jelly, Chocolate Malt, and Espresso, Tiger Sugar also sells a Tiger Mango Sago, Brown Sugar Taro, Brown Sugar Red Bean, Brown Sugar Pudding, Brown Sugar Mochi, and different flavored teas.
