Ginger Elizabeth Chocolate is working on opening a new location in Folsom’s Broadstone Marketplace. The business will occupy the approximately 1,400-square-foot space at Suite 500 at 2770 E. Bidwell St. The space is currently occupied by eatery Vibe Health Bar, which will relocate once the lease is up. This news was first seen in the Business Journal.
CEO Ginger Elizabeth Hahn started her culinary journey during her teenage years, working in the food industry. Hahn also supervised a coffee shop in Folsom when she was 16. After exploring different pastry-making categories during her culinary school years, she fell in love with chocolate and never looked back.
Ginger Elizabeth Chocolate has a flagship location in 2413 J St. in Midtown. The upcoming Folsom location will be the brand’s second storefront.
“Folsom, as a location, is really great. I have a lot of customers there, so once the Folsom store opens, they won’t have to drive to midtown anymore. We also chose the Broadstone Marketplace because the many businesses around. People can come here to take a midday snack break.” Hahn told What Now Sacramento over the phone.
Currently, Hahn hopes to operate as a pop-up store by December and start selling pre-assorted chocolates and retail items while she continues to work on the space. Ideally, Hahn hopes to open at full capacity before Valentine’s Day. Once open, Ginger Elizabeth Chocolate will be located right next to the future Saigon Alley Kitchen + Bar, which announced its expansion into the marketplace earlier this year.
“We are ready to grow, we just wanted to wait until we got everything in line before we did so, and I think opening another shop locally will be easier for me than trying to do it far away. I just love this community, which after Covid really pulled us through in a great way,” Hahn told the Business Journal.
