Helic, a new international bistro, is getting closer to opening its doors in South Natomas at 1620 W. El Camino Ave., Suite 130, inside Park Plaza center. Owner Luis Zamora told What Now Sacramento via email that the restaurant just received approval upon final inspection and is only weeks away from opening its doors. This news was first seen in the Business Journal.

Zamora, opening Helic with his wife Laura Garcia, told the Business Journal that the upcoming bistro will “integrate cuisines such as French, American, Italian and Mexican into its breakfast, lunch and dinner menu.” Breakfast items include classic items like french toast and eggs benedict, as well as unique variations of chilaquiles. The lunch and dinner menu mainly offers sandwiches, burgers, pastas, and other entrees.

The name Helic came from a native Mexican language called Nahuatl. It was a term used by the Aztecs after a hearty meal to show their satisfaction with the delicious food. With a strong focus on community, Helic is transforming the approximately 2,800-square-foot space into a friendly, peaceful, and welcoming gathering space for people to enjoy good food and have a good time. Zamora has completely renovated the space and added new equipment, flooring, bathrooms, and other aesthetic improvements.

“This concept was inspired when we started our first business call Alameda Tacos & Antojitos Food Truck we’re looking to create a family neighborhood concept or oriented place to gather and share memories. We are looking to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests, the restaurant is open space with so much plants all around giving a very peaceful experience,” said Zamora in the email.
