A local family-friendly pub is expanding to Summerville.

According to The Post and Courier, Dog and Duck is preparing to open its fifth location at 430 Cross Park Lane in Nexton. The upcoming eatery will span 4,000 square feet, according to Rod Bradley, who co-owns the brand with Andy Reed.

The flagship Dog and Duck debuted in 2001 at the Belle Hall Shopping Center on Long Point Rd. The restaurant has since grown to four locations across Charleston, Mount Pleasant, and Moncks Corner. Notably, the Park West site is temporarily closed for repairs following an electrical fire.

Dog and Duck is celebrated for its lively atmosphere, friendly service, and menu brimming with classics like burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, wraps, tacos, and nachos. Over the years, it has cemented its place as a go-to spot for lunch, dinner, late-night snacks, and drinks with friends.

The new Nexton location is expected to open in November of 2025.
