Sacramento, Calif.-based Chando’s Tacos is expanding to Atlanta with an outpost in Buckhead, Owner Lisandro “Chando” Madrigal — founder of parent company Chando’s Enterprises — announced Wednesday on the restaurant’s Instagram.

Slated to replace Tamago Ramen in The Peach shopping center, at 2900 Peachtree Road, the Buckhead Chando’s Tacos will be the first for Madrigal outside of the state of California. The restaurateur is aiming for a May 2021 debut.

Chando’s Tacos Buckhead is the first of “many” locations planned in Atlanta. “It’s going to be a small little spot, but it’s in a really, really cool area,” Madrigal said on Instagram Live. “We’re ready to rock in Atlanta, Georgia — Buckhead. It’s going to be our first location out here of many that we’re working on.”

Chando’s Tacos offers a menu of tacos, burritos, NorCal burritos, quesadillas, tortas (and mini tortas), tostadas, nachos, flautas, mulitas, and Chando’s Papas — Chando’s signature meat selection topped with nacho cheese, cilantro, onion, guacamole, house made salsa, sour cream, and pico de gallo on top of Chandos crispy Fries.
