According to a recent permit filing, Sahara Cafe, a north Columbus hookah bar and cafe located at 20 Arcadia Ave, plans to add a covered patio. What Now Columbus reached out to the cafe to learn about the projected timeline and other information about the addition, but a representative with the cafe wasn’t ready to discuss the project at this time.

While the representative with the eatery confirmed there is current outdoor seating, they declined comment on whether the permit work will increase the outdoor seating capacity or what the outdoor patio decor will look like. As shown in various pictures on the cafe’s social media accounts, the interior of the eatery is inviting, and the decor features warm tones of golds, reds and browns, and features large mahogany wood tables, along with seating that features lots of throw pillows and thick cushions.

The menu features small plates like hummus with pita bread, a cheese plate with olives and cucumber, as well as sandwiches like the lamb or chicken kabob sandwich, which is a sandwich made with grilled meat, tomatoes, cucumber, tahini and parsley. There’s also a dessert menu that includes lemon cake, baklava and ice cream. Drinks offered include fruit smoothies, hot and cold coffee drinks, iced tea and warm beverages including apple cider, chai tea and hot chocolate.
