Lake and Oak Neighborhood Barbecue — known for its charcoal, pecan wood, and white oak-smoked meats — will open its second location this year in West End at the Lee + White complex, according to a press release.

Owned and operated by Todd Richard and Josh Lee (the chefs behind Soul: Food and Culture at Krog Street Market), Lake and Oak first opened last July in the space once occupied by Greater Good BBQ. Its new location at Lee + White — the West End mixed-use complex formerly known as “Warehouse Row” before its redevelopment — will feature a similar menu to its original location, plenty of indoor seating, and a large patio with views of the Atlanta Beltline.

Richards and Lee also plan to open Japanese soul food restaurant Kuro this year in the space that was once Hazel Jane’s wine bar along the Eastside Beltline trail.

Lake and Oak will be joining a growing list of restaurants and breweries at Lee + White, including Best End Brewing Company, ASW Distillery, Cultured South, Honeysuckle Gelato, Golda Kombucha, and Monday Night Brewing Garage, which just expanded its production facility and renovated its outdoor courtyard.

No opening date has been announced, but you can expect to smell Lake and Oak’s meats smoking away over charcoal sometime later this year.
