Twisted Taco Express, which bills itself as “the ultimate Tex-Mex experience –to-go,” will have its grand opening on Monday, June 7th, at 2960 Shallowford Road in Marietta, according to the restaurant’s Facebook page.
The fast-casual taco shop got its start as a full service restaurant in Midtown, and has since become a staple at many a college campus, including Emory University, Georgia Tech, and Spelman College, among others.
The restaurant is debuting its to-go concept in Marietta’s Sandy Plains Centre, and is sticking to its commitment to locally-sourced ingredients and sustainability while offering customers an easy grab-and-go alternative.
As for the menu, expect the same house-made salsa and guacamole, a nice selection of tacos, bowls, and burritos, and, of course, the option to have your order “twisted” (AKA smothered in queso, cilantro, and salsa).
Why anyone wouldn’t order their tacos “twisted” is a mystery to us. Head to the new express location today to start your summer diet off right with a carnitas burrito smothered in queso.
