Fast-growing franchise JETSET Pilates has a new location heading to the Greater Atlanta area next year. Amy Joannou and her husband Alex are targeting a winter opening around the beginning of the year for a JETSET location at 6475 Hickory Flat Hwy, Suite 604, at the forthcoming Hickory Flats Marketplace.
Joannou became interested in franchising with JETSET after visiting the Alpharetta location for a class.
“I just fell in love with the workout and the environment right away, and I wanted to get more involved,” Joannou told What Now Atlanta. “And here we are, less than a year later, about to start construction.”
The Canton location will be the first in a three-unit deal for Joannou. Other areas in their territory include Kennesaw, Acworth and Marietta. She hopes to have another location open by the end of next year.
She was drawn to Canton for the first location because of the developing Hickory Flat Marketplace, which will also include Woodstock-based Little Rosa’s Pizza, Caribou Coffee, Onelife Fitness and Chicken Salad Chick.
“We realized that the Canton area did not have a premium fitness studio like JETSET,” Joannou said. “We fell in love with the people, and then the Hickory Flat Marketplace came to us with the opportunity.”
They will begin construction on the studio in October to stay on track for a winter opening.
“I feel super confident that we’ll be ready for that New Year crowd that really wants to re-energize their fitness, and I think the JETSET will be an amazing opportunity for folks that want to start over, or folks that just want to continue the work that they’re already doing on their fitness and health,” Joannou said.
JETSET Pilates offers its signature 50-minute class, featuring a full-body workout with strength training, cardio and Pilates-inspired movements. JETSET also offers a fundamentals class, an upper body and core class, and a lower body and core class. It currently has existing locations in Brookhaven and Alpharetta, with additional locations heading to Buford, Cumming, Dunwoody and East Cobb.
