A first-time franchisee is opening a location of fitness franchise Alloy Personal Training in Canton. Owner Sara Price will open the gym in a 1,600-square-foot space at 6391 Hickory Flat Highway. The team is targeting a January opening, Price told What Now Atlanta.

Price previously worked at a private personal training studio before deciding to stay at home to raise her family for the past 20 years. Now, she is interested in finding her way back into the industry. When she saw that her previous employer had opened locations with Alloy in Sandy Springs and Buckhead, she looked into the franchise. She had known founder Rick Mayo previously, so she decided to go ahead and open a location in Canton.

I knew it was something that I could get behind and there’s nothing like that in Canton right now,” Price said.

The Canton location will join existing Atlanta-area Alloy Personal Training branches in Sandy Springs, Buckhead, Chastain and Dunwoody.

Alloy focuses on small group personal training rather than offering conventional big-box gym classes. The emphasis of the training is on strength conditioning, and customers are personally coached based on their goals.

Each session includes a dynamic warm-up, a workout and a metabolic finisher. Price said they are looking to target working professionals in the 30 or over age category who are looking for an established and efficient workout to incorporate into their schedules.

“The more muscle you can maintain, the more active lifestyle you can live as you start aging,” Price said. “I don’t think we’re trying to do everything.
I think that’s what differentiates us. I think we’re just focusing on the strength component and just being really good at that.”

Eventually, Price is looking to add another location in Cumming.
