Marietta is about to get a little sweeter. Personal chef Elizabeth Weaver, a Marietta born-and-raised graduate of the Culinary Business Academy, is opening a chocolate and sweets shop at 3894 Due West Road, Suite 235, in a plaza on the corner of Due West and Kennesaw Due West Roads.
According to Facebook, Elizabeth’s Delightful Edibles will specialize in handcrafted chocolate sweets, including hot chocolate and coffee creamer “bombs,” which she’ll also sell whole-sale, chocolate bars, and lots of other sugary confections. Weaver also runs her own personal chef business, offering weekly meal plans, dinner party services, grocery shopping, and in-home cooking parties.
Elizabeth Weaver says her fascination with chocolate began last year, after she started making chocolate bombs. “I just became engrossed in the world of chocolate,” she says. “The cool thing about working in chocolate is, if you like the science of food, chocolate work is a lot about science. I’ve just taken my knowledge of food science and started applying it to chocolate.” Her forthcoming chocolate shop got a fresh paint job last month and is expected to open in early fall 2021.
There’s just something so delightfully indulgent about eating a piece of handcrafted chocolate. It’s a special occasion within itself (exactly the opposite of the feeling you might get after eating an entire Hershey bar). Head to Elizabeth’s Delightful Edibles this fall to bask in your own moment of chocolaty indulgence.
