The upcoming lounge from JJ Gaming & Lounge LLC, set to open in the space formerly occupied by Jackpot Bar & Grill at 4360 S Decatur Blvd, will introduce a new brand: Hon Izakaya Lounge. Recently submitted business license paperwork introduces this name for the JJ Gaming & Lounge LLC project at that address.

Owner Jeff Mai spoke with What Now Las Vegas last October, while the brand was still gestating. At the time, details about the brand and menu were scarce. What was known was that, in addition to the lounge feel (and presumably gaming, although this has not been verified), a menu of Japanese izakaya-style small plates accompanied by various adult beverages will be served. The new name reflects a leaning into this concept.

What Now Las Vegas was unable to reach Mai for further information on Tuesday. It is still not been announced when the new lounge will take over the former home of Jackpot Bar & Grill, which has taken its menu of sandwiches, dinner, and breakfast-all-day to a new location at 4485 S Jones Blvd, although it should be expected very soon.

Further information on the upcoming brand is still unavailable. It will open near Decatur DMV-Made-Easy, in a building that also houses S&S Barber and Salon.
