Founded here in Las Vegas by Houston Crosta and Edmond Barseghian, Houston’s Hot Chicken is picking up steam, as franchise locations are set to open in southern California, Arizona, and Utah, as well as new restaurants in the Valley. The fine casual hot chicken chain is planning a grand opening for its Ann Rd location (reported on by What Now Las Vegas last August) on April 16, with several more locations planned for the near future.

“We’re focused on being the highest possible quality, everything antibiotic- and cage-free,” Houston Crosta, of Royalty Exotic Cars fame, told What Now Las Vegas on Tuesday. “We’ve got this product, hot chicken, that is creating an immense buzz around the country. But everyone is focused on fast food. Our goal is to be the number one fine casual restaurant in Las Vegas.”

It’s working. The brand’s growth is meteoric: forty franchise units have been sold across southern California, as well as in Arizona and Salt Lake City, Crosta said. “With that growth, we’re opening more in Las Vegas.”

A total of ten of Las Vegas locations are expected by the end of 2022. These include a location at Fashion Show Mall, as well as new locations Downtown and at the intersection of Blue Diamond Rd and Arville St.

Some variations are to be expected between locations. The Arts District Houston’s will have a full bar and may introduce more bar food to the restaurant’s proven menu of Nashville-style hot chicken, crinkle-cut fries, salad, cookies, and milkshakes—with sauces ranging from no spice and mild, to spicy, and then to Liftoff and Houston We Have a Problem, the last of which is so spicy guests must sign a waiver before ordering. The Downtown location, on which construction is expected to break ground on Wednesday, also has a full bar planned.

Keep an eye out for updates as Houston’s Hot Chicken continues to take over Las Vegas!
