WaBa Grill, a major chain of healthy rice bowl shops, announced this week that it had signed a franchise deal for eight locations in Clark County. The franchisee, Raj Sangha of the Dhindsa Group of Companies, has built considerable experience as WaBa Grill franchise owner in Southern California. He now has exclusive rights to develop WaBa Grill in the county and is expected to introduce it to Las Vegas and Henderson soon.

“As a WaBa Grill franchisee for the past ten years, I am familiar with the excitement and enthusiasm that ripple through the community when WaBa Grill enters a new market, and I am confident that Clark County residents will enjoy the quality, flavor and value of the healthy options that WaBa Grill offers,” Sangha said in a press release. “Clark County, especially Las Vegas, attracts people from around the country – and the world – and I feel especially proud to be able to introduce WaBa Grill to this diverse area.”

WaBa Grill marries healthy food to bold flavor, with fire-grilled proteins like fresh, never frozen chicken, marinated ribeye steak, wild-caught salmon, jumbo shrimp, and organic tofu. Guests add these to their fully customizable bowls, plates and salads, which are topped with a variety of flavorful sauces including the branded favorite, WaBa sauce. WaBa’s Plantspired Steak was added to the list of proteins last year: it’s a 100% plant-based protein alternative that has become extremely popular with all diners, not only those with plant-based diets.

“WaBa Grill was founded on the principle that healthy food made with fresh, quality ingredients should be delicious and accessible to all, and soon our famous rice bowls, plates and salads will be available to Clark County residents,” Director of Marketing Vivian Mendoza said in the release. “We are thrilled to be expanding into Nevada with the help of a trusted franchise partner like Raj who has experienced great success with WaBa Grill over the past decade and continues to invest in and grow with the brand.”

What Now Las Vegas reached out to Raj Sangha on Tuesday. Sangha was not immediately available for further comment. Stay tuned for updates as the timeline of WaBa Grill’s Clark County arrival takes shape.
