Last year we announced that Ocho Rios Jerk Spot is headed for the West Valley at 13291 W. McDowell Road, next to JCPenney and Lowe’s Home Improvement. At the time there wasn’t an announced opening, but now we finally have an update!
In a phone call with What Now Phoenix this week, co-owner Theressa Miller confirmed that she and co-owner Chris “Mr. Sweets” Lyons expect to be open later this summer. They plan to serve the same delicious menu of Jerk Chicken, Oxtail, Plantains and other authentic Jamaican fare that have made them a go-to spot in the Valley for Caribbean cuisine.
The second restaurant will also have the same lively events such as Cigar & Whiskey Wine Down Wednesdays, Rum Punch & Brunch and more. Now, many of Ocho Rios’ west side patrons won’t have to travel so far into Phoenix just to get a taste of their favorite island flavor and flair.
