Texas-style BBQ experts Dickey’s Barbecue Pit continues expanding, bringing another location to Murrieta. The latest restaurant is currently in construction in Murrieta Gateway Shopping Center on Los Alamos Road.
Founded in 1941 by Travis Dickey, Dickey’s Barbecue Pit is now the world’s largest barbecue franchise with over 500 locations and counting across the nation.
The Murrieta branch is headed by siblings and franchise co-owners Jason and Howard Henry. Jason Henry tells What Now San Diego the Murrieta Dickey’s will be outfitted with an 8-seat bar, serving up beer and wine to compliment the BBQ fare.
Dickey’s specializes in “Legit. Texas. Barbecue.” Popular menu items include Brisket plates, Pork Burnt Ends, Slow-Smoked Ribs, Pulled Pork Sandwiches, and homestyle sides like Mac & Cheese, Barbecue Beans, and Cabbage Slaw.
