Duecento Ristorante, a refined yet approachable Italian restaurant concept from Tudor Hospitality, is being developed in San Diego at 225 W Broadway.
The company lists Duecento Ristorante as one of its concepts currently in development, describing it as an Italian restaurant designed around community-driven dining. Tudor Hospitality recently submitted documents to the San Diego Department of Environmental Health and Quality. Customers can expect an Italian menu focused on craftsmanship and an approachable dining experience.
Tudor Hospitality is led by founder and managing principal Lucian Tudor, who tells WhatNow San Diego that Duecento is targeting a third-quarter 2027 opening. Tudor Hospitality’s other concepts currently in development include 301 Caffè and Trecento Ristorante in Santa Monica, as well as Tenshou Collection in Los Angeles and Yokocho in Beverly Hills.
The company website identifies Tudor as the former CEO of Global Dining Inc. of California and notes his background in multi-unit operations and concept development. Tudor Hospitality says its restaurant development work covers everything from site strategy and menu architecture to staffing, systems, and opening execution.
Duecento is one of five concepts listed as currently in development. The other projects include 301 Caffè and Trecento Ristorante in Santa Monica, along with Tenshou Collection in Los Angeles and Yokocho in Beverly Hills. The company describes 301 Caffè as an all-day cafe centered on simple food and everyday coffee service, while Trecento is planned as a modern Italian restaurant.
For Duecento, Tudor Hospitality says the concept will be refined while remaining approachable, with a focus on community-driven dining. The company’s broader philosophy emphasizes quality without pretension, consistency, and restaurants that fit naturally into the communities they serve. Its development process also includes operational planning and financial controls intended to support the restaurants as they grow.
Tudor Hospitality is a part owner of 301 Caffè and Trecento Ristorante, while Tenshou Collection is a client of the company, with Lucian Tudor serving as Executive Advisor and supporting its U.S. development and opening strategy. Tudor previously led Settecento, La Bohème in West Hollywood, and 1212 Santa Monica during his tenure as CEO of Global Dining California; they are not part of Tudor Hospitality’s current portfolio.
