Wagyu Beef Experts Looking to Grow with Japanese Barbecue and Added Restaurants

2022 is proving to be an exciting year of growth for Steve Brown’s Swagyu chain of restaurants. The Wagyu aficionados have rolled out a new Yakiniku Bar at their Pacific Beach outpost this weekend, their next sit-down restaurant is in construction in Oceanside, plus the brand is island bound this Summer to open Swagyu Hawaii in Maui. 

Eater reports Swagyu is looking to extend the business to Mira Mesa and East County next. You can currently find a Swagyu restaurant and private guided dining experience open in Pacific Beach, a food truck and Chop Shop in Poway, and Swagyu Burgers in Imperial Beach. 

Their restaurants are known to highlight Wagyu beef from America, Japan, and Australia, additionally Swagyu will expand the Japanese-inspired Yakiniku bbq spread in their upcoming projects. 

Swagyu Oceanside will open at the brand new Freeman Collective in January 2023. Swagyu Mira Mesa is yet to be announced.
